Orange ice

Ingredients

  • 250g caster sugar
  • 125ml water
  • 150ml orange juice
  • 300ml cream

Method

  1. Place the sugar and water into a small saucepan and stir to dissolve
  2. Place over a medium heat and simmer for 10 minutes
  3. Take off the heat, allow to cool a little, and stir in the juice and cream
  4. Place in a shallow dish and freeze
  5. Cut the top off the oranges and scoop out as much of the flesh as you can
  6. This is a great job for the kids –   let them eat as they go

Notes

Scoop the ice into the oranges and serve immediately.
